FCC Bans Newt Gingrich Truffle Shuffle Video: "Nightmarish and offensive"
Gingrich desperately needed to appeal to Iowa’s hard right GOP voters, and it seemed he did so when he was pushed to do the Truffle Shuffle dance, which was made famous by the 1985 movie, The Goonies. Gingrich’s lone and unpaid staffer called the dance a much-needed success after Newt’s easy-going stance on illegal immigration looked to be the last nail in his presidential nomination coffin.
The FCC has used a new technology, and with the help of Pres Obama, has been able to fully wipe away the video of Gingrich doing the shuffle. The president of the FCC said in the official statement, “The FCC is not about banning videos or suppressing free speech, but the Gingrich video was deemed so nightmarish and offensive that children, and even mentally susceptible adults, could be seriously harmed if subjected to the video. We’ve destroyed all copies and streams of the video online. Our board, after hours of deliberation, has decided that eradicating the video from the web was the best option.”
The Gingrich campaign has not made any statements concerning the banned video. Time will tell if Gingrich stays ahead in the polls, or if he will fall back to the bottom, with Rick Santorum and Michelle Bachmann.
