George Bush Jr Commends America On Enthusiastic Black Friday Shopping
“I had tears in my eyes to see so many good Americans out and about on one of the most important days for our economy. Americans lined up to shop at their favorite businesses and were willing to fight the crowds in order to get their favorite electronics and goods at a bargain price.”
Bush Jr’s comments were right on. Big retailers are saying they had a smashing good turnout for Black Friday shoppers, and that the consumer traffic was steady throughout the early morning hours and the entire day. “Credit or cash, whether you can afford it or not, we hope you’ll buy a new TV and stereo system,” said Michael Barringer, a young temp worker from a Best Buy store in Southern California. “That’s our business model. We need to do well today.”
The former president also said, “If Americans continue to support their favorite corporations like this at least once a week, we’ll see our economy drive itself right out of the ditch. Like I’ve always said, ‘Don’t sit around and brood about the financial system. Go shopping.'”
Bush Jr also wished every American a very happy holiday season.
