Bush said he doesn’t want veterans to mistake his private nature with a lack of appreciation for what they’ve done on the battlefield.

“They hadn’t seen me and they hadn’t seen me with the troops,” he said. “So therefore I am using mountain biking and golf to stay connected with the military, people who served during my presidency.”

What? Golfing and mountain biking to show support to the men and women you sent marching around Iraq and Afghanistan?

The only way I can imagine someone like George Bush Jr properly showing support is letting the rest of us strap his ass into a fighter jet and then flying that bastard real close to the ground over Iraq and see what happens. Beneath the jet, crafted along its underbelly, would be messages of support. And Barack Obama can fly right behind him.
