Single agenda humans who reject anything which interferes with their life views seem to be increasing.

Shunning any kind of news media, but glued to the internet twenty hours a day, they chide others for having the temerity to watch television, and horror of horrors, BBC television.

Only looking up occasionally to read some ancient stories in a book which was written by someone exactly like themselves, always looking for ever more obscure issues with which to beat the less inquisitive over the head.

I find that in the main, this is a solitary male pursuit. No room for a female in the relationship because they might have a different view of history or perhaps the present.

Women tend to be less myopic when it comes to obscure information gathering, but they are definitely increasing in number and matching their male counterparts bore for bore.

Someone was recommending a book which I thought would be interesting, so I managed to find a used copy for a small price. All I can say is I’m glad l didn’t pay full price for a tome which is drier than a Saudi Arabian’s jockstrap.

I found it difficult to understand how the author could write about archaeology and make it almost unreadable.

So wrapped up in his own importance and views on the subject, and an inability of to make something which should have been entertaining, less interesting than Keir Starmer, l gave up after 30 pages.

I shall donate the book to my least favourite charity shop. It’s no more than they deserve.

I know people’s lives are anything but normal at the moment, but the amount of doom and gloom on social media is becoming worse by the day.

Not content with the daily grind of political lies and propaganda, some folk are determined to “out” people they believe aren’t the sex they portray in public.

Talk about a complete waste of time and effort. “Oh, have you seen this picture of xyz”, they write. “They’re definitely men/women”.

Really? Who cares? Only the people who are unable to deal with real life, that’s who.

Other people are desperate to see the signs of devil worship in any situation. The people who are generally targeted are “celebrities”. Yes, them again.

A raised eyebrow or the twitch of ear is acceptable evidence of evil to some people. The selling of souls seems to be the new trading commodity. I fully expect to see a column in the Financial Times devoted to the soul selling market. Don’t snigger, anything is possible.

There are also the people who are convinced that there are massive underground cities and vast tunnel networks filled with demonic entities competing for favours from the devil him/herself.

No theory is off limits for some people, but it would probably benefit everyone if they come up for air occasionally and fight the real enemies of the state.

I don’t discount anything, but I have to focus on what I can see and possibly influence. It’s very easy to be sucked into a whole world of the weird and very difficult to get back to the surface.

I have had an out of body experience, so I know that can happen. I have walked with someone who disappeared as soon as we walked into artificial light. So that is real to me.

I have been involved with mediums who were 100% fakes. A “born again” religious guy marching round my living room, speaking in tongues, was total bollocks.

One has to experience these things to make judgement.

My in laws walked on burning coals and burned the crap out of their feet, but were told it was their fault for “not believing” properly.

It just shows how easy it is to lead people to do stupid shit they know is stupid.

I’m rambling here because my mind is boggled by human stupidity. There isn’t a straw which humans won’t clutch if they are told it will change their lives. I would rather leave the straw alone and float along with the current to see where l wash up.

It has taken me sixty six years to be washed up where I am today, but I feel more calm and relaxed about being here than at any other time of my life. I have little to lose materially and I can get from one day to the next without too much drama.

We are where we are, because that is where we are meant to be. We can only do so much, but we have to do it in the best way we can.

Whatever happens, it is what is meant to happen. Getting stressed isn’t the answer, and it isn’t good for you.

In closing, if l haven’t insulted everyone in this piece, don’t worry, l’ll get round to it later.
