BRADLEY MASON HAMLIN
I miss Buk
being
a
live
while
his words hit the shelf
as I worked
in those bookstores
and in the mental health
facilities
for the emotionally
disturbed
psych major …
I think of Hank’s
new books
and maybe
I should give them a gamble
but feel deflated about
the thing
his words/ideas
not proofed by
himself
the raw produce
the product
providing more cash
for the sparrow and now
the big house
and the small mouse
in san pedro
and what will
they
do to his words?
I miss him …
because
being alive
the barfly
was a notable tiger
in a long field of rodents
and I eat
as much cereal
as I can
but there is much grain
and therefore
much mice
and very little now
we can do about it.
