What’s that I hear?

That is the sound of every politician in the UK, saying nothing about the greatest threat to democracy since the 2nd World War.

Not a word from opposition politicians from any party, including the very small parties who, if they want to gain votes, should be shouting from the rooftops about the loss of our hard-fought liberties.

This is a very worrying situation for anyone who can see past their own interests. Far too many people are acting as if they were living in the same way they were last year.

By all means carry on living, but at least acknowledge that our country has been changed utterly. Is your shopping experience the same as it was only six months ago?

Plastic, yes the dreaded plastic, is being used liberally by shops and stores to keep us apart. Simple things like going to buy clothes has been turned into something out of a science fiction film.

Hand sanitiser in one Glasgow shop, being sprayed onto people’s hands by masked and plastic-bibbed staff who appear to have had humourectomies performed prior to being hired.

Plastic stickers on pavements and shop floors telling us where to stand and the direction in which to walk. I personally ignore these bizarre and ridiculous “rules”.

But many people stand, masked and docile, on these plastic footprints. Waiting to be told what to do, by some hard faced employee, who has been brainwashed so much, that what they are doing seems perfectly normal.

Remember, this has all happened and been accepted as necessary by the majority of the public in less than six months. Think about what for a few moments. A sobering thought, isn’t it?

In any other circumstances, the political opposition parties would be screaming blue murder and demanding explanations from the government as to what they were doing and why.

The only sound we hear is the whistling of the wind through the almost empty Houses of Parliament in London and the tinpot parliament in Holyrood.

It can’t be that they don’t know what is going on.

Even the current crop of politicians aren’t that stupid, with some notable exceptions.

Yet they are sitting in almost empty debating chambers, antisocially distancing, and seemingly pretending that everything is just fine and dandy.

My questions would be, when did they know this was going to happen? Was it before the “virus” was turned into a pandemic, or after the house arrest?

Also, what have they been promised in order not to rock the boat, or in their case, rock the trough?

Whatever it is, they have proved that they are not on the side of their constituents or the public in general. They are only doing this for themselves.

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have followed their Westminster colleagues in the vow of silence which some monks would be hard pressed to beat.

There are some slight differences in policy between the devolved administrations and Westminster, but basically all reading from the same hymn sheet.

Oddly, in the Westminster “Parliament” the politicians have found their voices again on the thorny question of Brexit, which I naively thought was a done deal, but obviously isn’t.

This has made previously dumbstruck Members of Parliament very talkative indeed.

Long-winded speeches from senior politicians decrying the attempts of Boris Johnson to create new laws bypassing something or other which was agreed to by some other people a few months ago.

It all feels completely artificial and deliberately provocative, in order to allow politicians, media and political activists, to vent some fury at each other, instead of being gagged about the virus lies and loss of liberty and democracy.

“Look,” they will say, “here is democracy in action. We are furious at something. Isn’t that enough for you”?

Of course, the result of the matter will have been long decided by all sides, but we aren’t meant to know that.

On the subject of the lunatic rules, the recent “rule of six” , or perhaps sick, has had the opposite effect on many of the public who might have been fence sitting previously. As have the vague threats and comments about Christmas being cancelled if we children don’t behave ourselves.

I remember my parents saying similar things when my sister and I were young. Treating the public as if they were children isn’t a clever ploy.

It’s obvious to the vast majority of people, including politicians, that no one is dying from the “virus” and most the cases aren’t cases, but are the result of more testing and more false positive outcomes. But the government cannot admit that without having to admit that the entire pandemic was based on a lie. And thereafter, many more lies.

Remember, the outcome the government and its financial backers want, is the mandatory vaccination of the entire UK population. So they have to continue lying.

If politicians don’t speak out now, their silence will end democracy in the UK and globally.

So contact your Members of Parliament and ask for their voice to be heard against this dictatorship. There is still time to change the course of history.
