From LA Times:

One of the two people who died of heat exposure in Joshua Tree National Park on Monday was reportedly Guus Van Hove, a well-known Dutch music promoter who was touring the United States.
Van Hove was the manager of 013, a popular music venue in Tilburg, Netherlands. Announcements of his death were posted Wednesday on the venue’s website and Facebook page.

His body was found Monday evening on a secluded road in the park, where temperatures had reached above 105 degrees. Authorities also discovered the body of a woman with whom he was travelling, Helena Nuellett.

Investigators believe the rental car the pair was driving stalled on the road sometime Monday afternoon.

“At this point, there is no sign of obvious injury to either person, and the evidence indicates the pair both succumbed due to exposure to the elements,” the Sheriff’s Department announced in a statement.
