These days it surprises me as to what passes for ‘controversial’ in the mainstream news cycle. The comments of Alessio Rastani (great name) apparently have not before been heard by the folks fronting for BBC. Mr. Rastani basically states the Euro Zone will not last, Goldman Sachs has already bet against the Euro Zone, investors and traders of all types don’t care whether the market goes up or down, the world is more stable or less stable, the traders and investors will rake in money either way. I can relate to Mr. Rastani. I have money in the market myself and before beginning a quest to discover the existential truths, I too wanted to be a trader. Heck, I still want to be a trader. I like the game.
Regardless, there can only be one conclusion if what he says is true. If Goldman Sachs bets against the Euro Zone and the hedge funds are betting against the Euro Zone, then Americans will welcome shariah law. Of this I am certain.
