Twenty years ago, Milwaukee police found a drugged, half-naked and handcuffed man in the street who led them to Jeffrey Dahmer’s home. There they found human remains strewn throughout the apartment. Dahmer, thought to have raped and killed up to 17 boys and men, was later convicted of 15 murders and beaten to death by a fellow inmate.
Jeffrey Dahmer’s murder spree has made its way back into the public eye two decades later, as the man who tipped off the police, Dahmer’s only living victim, may have become a killer himself.
Tracy Edwards was arrested Tuesday night after a homeless man fell into the Milwaukee River and died. Edwards, 52, homeless as well, was allegedly arguing with the victim and another homeless man before the drowning,Reuters reports. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office has announced it is currently reviewing evidence and Edwards may face a possible homicide charge.
Edwards has been in trouble with the law ever since his run-in with the notorious Dahmer. His friends say he’s struggled with drugs and alcohol.
Dahmer, if you don’t remember was beaten to death in prison by another inmate. Here’s a song from Soulfly, about the cannibal killer, and titled Jeffrey Dahmer.
