Does Voting for Mitt Romney Make Us Think We’ll Be Rich Too?

January 29

Mitt Romney has spent an unbelievable amount of money in Florida to recapture his lead over Newt Gingrich. The Huffington Post reports:

The biggest spender in Florida — the most expensive state in the Republican primary to date — has been the pro-Romney super PAC Restore Our Future. Run by a trio of former Romney advisers, the group has spent $10.7 million in the state. The vast majority of that — $9.9 million — has gone into a barrage of ads, on television and radio, and direct mail attacking Gingrich. That’s more than double what pro-Gingrich super PAC Winning Our Future is spending in Florida.

If a candidate has to spend 412 times the amount of America’s median annual income ($26,000) to get enough votes to stay on top of the election race, that candidate, I think it’s safe to say, is not qualified to be president of this country.

It was lame to buy friends in high school, and it’s pretty goddamned embarrassing to get caught buying sex from the cute strutters on Hollywood Blvd, so why is it trendy to shell out dollars for every vote? I would say something nasty about Mitt Romney, like he should be burned at the stake, but that would be an insult to Joan of Ark. There’s style to being burnt at the stake. There’s a bit of glamour in that.

This guy is an anti-human. He’s rotten inside. He’s not real. He doesn’t believe himself, or anything he says. Listen to him speak. Pay attention to the nothingness that comes out of his mouth. He’s one of the few humans we could easily do without in this world. He’s a sack of foul wind. He’s that last shot of alcohol that puts you over the edge and forces you onto your knees in front of the toilet. He’s the dentist’s drill puncturing your tooth and tearing up your root.

Romney has made hundreds of millions of dollars screwing the American taxpayer and sending jobs overseas, and now he’s trying to use that casino money to buy himself a ticket to the White House. And the sad thing is, many Americans are falling for it.

It’s not just rich people voting for Mitt. It’s poor, destitute, “conservative” Americans. Do they think they’ll be rich like Mitt when he gets in the White House? Is that enough for America? A filthy rich shithead in office to remind you how much money you don’t have?

This is not an endorsement of Barack Obama. The awful bitter truth to what’s shaping up (again) is that we will be voting, come November, on one of two establishment hacks, both super-funded by mega banks and Wall Street.
