Don Smith commented on a Washington Liberals poll:

For me it’s a toss-up between “Yes, bad” and “Not sure.” Obama is bad, the Republicans are even worse, but unlike in 2000 and 2004, I don’t [think] the difference between them is that all that large. I voted “Not sure.”

Alexander Cockburn takes the same question to the extreme and says to vote for anybody but Obama. That will be the only way to reinvigorate sweeping left-wing movement in America, which is a movement that has largely been pacified while a Democratic president is in office. He writes:

In 2013 we could be faced with a Republican majorities in both houses and the prospect of Obama spending four years catering obediently to their requirements, defusing all liberal and left opposition. We need a Republican in the White House to dispel narcosis which will otherwise neutralize left activity till 2016.
